Don’t writers know how to write dialogue anymore.? Why go to see a movie and pay money just to hear f—every other sentence.?foul street talk obfuscates the meaning of a movie.

Just a lot of unnecessary filthy language and vile images (urinating in the mouth, etc). Why do filmmakers have to ruin a good historical story by punctuating it with this unwatchable trash? Also, the dialogue is way too modern and the music totally distracts from the era it’s supposed to be in. A real disappointment for me.

I loved the early episodes, but what I see now is silly parody and buffoonery. Higgins wedding episode was just ridiculous, not even funny. I prefer it to be the way it was when it started: clever mysteries, historical interest, and dry humor. George is my favorite character.

Aretha Christie would be mortified if she ever saw her book turned into this amoral, sensational tripe. She was a genteel, sensible writer who wrote the best who done its with style and decency. This adaptation borders on a horror movie which was not her genre. I hope in future her books are given more respect.
