It’s hard to find the words to describe how disturbed I was after leaving the movie. It was described as an epic adventure and turned out to be a sloooooow movie with a weak, pathetic character who gets beat up by some kids in the woods, fishes a saint’s head out of a stream, gets graphically emasculated by a Lady while a blindfolded elderly woman watched and then sexually assaulted by her husband. Not sure where the androgynous giants came from or why the chapter titles were almost impossible to read but save your money and your valuable time. It’s sad that at the end of an “epic,” the only character you liked was a talking fox. Depressing and disturbing. I want to say that it seemed like a movie made by students trying to be “deep” and creative but that may actually be an insult to film students.
