I just saw “Smile 2" with my boyfriend on its opening day (October 18th), and I have to say that the movie was absolutely phenomenal! The film itself was fantastic, featuring some genuinely effective jump scares that got both me and my boyfriend. He spent most of the movie hiding in my arm, which was quite entertaining. Naomi Scott's acting was incredibly impressive!! I've been a fan of hers since her "Lemonade Mouth" days and her role in "Aladdin," so seeing her in a horror movie was a refreshing experience. Her performance definitely deserves recognition. As a horror movie enthusiast, I would give it a solid 10/10. However, I have to deduct a star due to the ending (SPOILER). I was really hoping to see Sky defeat the demon, so discovering that it was all in her head was disappointing. Additionally, her tragic death in front of a large audience felt like a letdown and negated the entire plot. It felt like we were all left hanging on the edge of our seats, only to have everyone meet a grim fate in the end. I left the theater feeling quite frustrated.Overall. Movie was amazing :)) a must watch!!
