Album that create the viking metal, This album have thrash metal style but have viking lyrics. Song like one rode to asa bay make hit on black metal scene that showing different style of black metal that usually have satanic or nihilism lyrics but bathory have viking lyrics on this album, many bathory listener like me not spot the difference untill I see the lyrics that's bathory has changed. I think this album more deserved famous than mayhem de mysterious dom satanas or dunkelheit burzum HAIL QUORTHON

Great album but the production is little raw. This album has style like possessed seven churches and a bit like bathory self titled. This album has heavy riff and growling scream, that's make this album authentic and new at 80's,
