Everything I wanted in a batman movie and more. Matt Reeves delivered on every aspect, Gotham has never looked as comics accurate as it did here, truly felt like the worst place to be. The immersion of this world made the runtime go by so fast. Batman's gadgets were used in such clever ways I did not expect, his detective side finally done in live-action. Everybody was cast perfectly the standout being Zoe Kravitz she truly embodied Selina Kylie and stole the show for most of it. Since he was cast I knew Robert was gonna do great but he was Batman, his demeanor, his voice, every time he walked in a room you could hear the weight of the suit and the sound of his boots; let’s just say I got chills. Jeffrey Wright was perfect as Gordon, most of the film is him and batman together trying to solve the mystery and they are a team unmatched. Paul Dano was menacing as the riddler. The soundtrack was magnificent matching every scene perfectly, the action was brilliantly filmed with few cuts. Just wow a triumph in every sense I can’t wait to see this continued with Reeves involved.

I had a fun time? The friendship between Matt Smith and Jared Leto elevates this to an entertaining harmless 90 minute turn off your brain blockbuster. Also, they ripped off the ending of Dracula Untold with the bats and bite but I give it a pass cuz it looked dope. Not the monstrosity its reputation precedes it, as a film, it fails at having a coherent plot, the editor had a field day with this one but on the other hand, it still had a compelling narrative that I was able to follow and understand. By far the best part of this is Matt Smith who steals the entire show injecting new life into the film desperately needed to keep your attention. The Special Effects are decent, while the action could have been better it was fine for what it is. If they decide to make a sequel hopefully they can make it better because these actors deserve better than just mindless entertainment.

10/10 It’s pretty genius when you think about how ballsy it was for Warner brothers to create a whole new character in no way related to the dc comics character. Shame some people just can’t accept it as as its own thing , only Catwoman in name. There’s something appealing about Halle berry in a leather dominatrix outfit jumping on rooftops in the dark urban landscape of Salt Lake City For me it’s a action revenge thriller set in the world of beauty products and dark alleys with a hint of a good r&b score. There’s a bit of social commentary in here about the way women are treated in the beauty industry at a certain age or it could be about a women accepting her flaws and becoming free with herself. I’m not ashamed to admit I love Catwoman. For its runtime of nearly two hours I can safely argue I wanted more. The film directed by French visual effects supervisor newcomer Pitof feels like a comic book come to live with its vivid colors and wild editing . Countless times we get insane CG crane shots of the beautiful Salt Lake City and the dark alleys Catwoman prowls . While unnecessary it makes for campy fun considering it was the early 2000s and they didn’t know how it was gonna fare with audiences. Plenty of people judge its 100 million dollar budget when they forget Halle was paid 12 million dollars and they made statue figurines and a video game that further added to the budget not to mention the promo they did. So there’s the 100 mil everybody complains about

8/10 From an audience perspective it's easy to watch this film and easily call it pretentious and flat out bad From a technical stand point this breaks a whole new level of cinema sound wise and camera It's a gorgeous film with easily some of the best camera work and sound design you literally feel as though your in this house with Jennifer Lawrence so you understand her emotions as it play out I love 2/3 of this film When the film focused on this relationship between an artists and a writer it was at its best seeing these two actors go for it and really play it off Lawrence carried the entire thing and I know she didn't really do much besides look scared and scream but it's how her character was written so I don't blame her plus anyone would act distressed in a given situation so I don't hate her for it The build of tension is also a bonus , be prepared for a haunting and poignant nightmare of a film!

I cannot exaggerate how much you should go out and see Alita this weekend it is not too often we are treated to a film that clearly feels like the people behind it want you to leave the theatre satisfied James Cameron knew he had to give his baby to the right person and Robert Rodriguez was the perfect choice as he gives Alita the necessary direction to make it one of the better anime adaptations in recent memory Rosa as Alita was phenomenal , the VFX is gorgeous as every emotion she does looks beyond surreal , when the action comes boy does it deliver ! From the fast camera movements to its epic score I was on the edge of my seat ! I hope Alita finds an audience as its something different and has the potential to become the next big franchise, so I urge you to check it out because Alita is here to stay !
