Although there wasn't much happiness in this book, I couldn't put it down. Each character had so much depth. I loved the characters and how they were written. Some of the characters you will want to hate but can't quite bring yourself to do that. It showed that good people make mistakes, how grief can destroy a person, how loving someone so much can turn toxic. Even the characters you might want to hate for their cruelty can elicit compassion.
