This was one of my most favourite Platform-based Mario games out of many. Interesting elements, colourful worlds, amazing challenges and so on. It also has more powerups and variety than in future Mario games after it (like Super Mario World). I especially liked the minigames (from the Toad houses) and some secrets like the Treasure Ship. Although, no replayable levels and no secret levels like Super Mario World and many other future Mario games, it still binds the fact that this is a game I would want to keep revisiting. Especially since I play it on an emulator (because I don't have an NES, I play the NES version on my Windows 7 laptop and the All-Stars version on my phone. I was born in 2006 by the way). You could possibly imagine the many origins from this game that was brought to the entirety of the Mario universe. Like the World Map and the many powerups and so on. Overall, I'll give this game a 9/10. That extra one goes to the fact that this game still have some flaws like most other games, but for now, I'll just say it's an amazing game especially for an early Mario game.

A pretty cool and retro-style Mega Man game! My most favourite from the other ten mainstream Mega Man games (Mega Man 1-11). I loved the story, the interesting and colourful level design, soundtrack, the ability to choose characters and difficulties, RAPID FIRE (the thing that makes Mega Man so satisfying for me), retro-styled 8-bitness, achievements to unlock for increased gameplay and three additional Stages as DLC to download and play at one's leisure to obtain additional weapons for more gameplay experience! Surely this is what makes a complete Mega Man game to its classics without too much complexities. But I gave it 4 stars because what's not complete is the lackability in sliding and charge shooting, and the fact that I found out the game does NOT have a physical copy. (which is a drag, because if I had a Wii, I would most certainly buy the physical copy) I played this game on Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, and I most certainly recommend it to Mega Man fans, or Action-Platformer gamers. It's worth the experience!

I remember writing an opinionated review for Super Mario Bros. 3, and I thought I'd do the same for The Lost Levels. While the game does imply sheer difficulty, I've played many retro action games before this one, so I was ready for the challenges it imposed. Usually, I'm not a fan of the first two Super Mario Bros. games (this one and its predecessor) because of their "stiff" physics. But I have to give the game some credit for testing my action-platformer skills, which I've been training for. I've managed to beat the game on the Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. (2020) system with infinite lives (hold "A" at the title screen on a selected character), which is why I gave it four stars, for the fact that I still can't beat the game genuinely. But my most favourite thing about this game are the secret worlds. I've unlocked Worlds A-D and I'm still in the middle of getting to World 9, which is proving to be a rather fun task because of how hard the game is and that it challenges me to used the aforementioned skills to my advantage. So I'll put this game as my third favourite 2D Mario game (behind Super Mario Bros. 3 at first place and Super Mario Land at second).

A smooth and fun game. Easy to pick up and play (and learn around it), colourful characters and stages, interesting offensive and defensive movesets, and a simple game that you can easily pick and play like so. I also like the simple Story Mode, too, it adds up to what Blade Strangers had. It also includes some of my favourite characters like Curly from Cave Story+! I definitely recommend this game to anybody who has a Nintendo Switch/Playstation 4/Microsoft Windows. It's worth the experience! Also, to me, Blade Strangers seemed more like a fighting game to me, I felt more in touch with the game the moment I first played it and enjoyed it. It's pretty nostalgic (even though I bought this on Valentine's Day 2020, it was a good start)
