They ruined the story. This is yet another sad 'modernized' story, that tries to force a sociopolitical agenda down the throat of the viewer. They incorrectly portray her as an over the top, manic depressive, ptsd suffering individual, who has little to no control over mouth or emotions. In the books she was simply spunky and precocious. Dont waste your time on this. The series from the 80s is a far better show, and is faithful to the books.
