There is a moment in this movie that just makes you break down totally.
I guess for me as a jazz singer, I dream of being that choir teacher and me as a music lover, I just break anyway when I hear Marvin Gaye or Stevie or Aretha. Or Indigo Girls, or H.E.R.
But the best thing about CODA is that me and my daughter, who haven’t always gotten along, have been able to use this as one more moment, watching it together, easily, without any glitches or pricey surprises, where we could experience it together on our path to healing. That is strong.
