It’s truly a book for people who love history, sports, California, or simply have an inquisitive mind. Bob Dylan has said that all of the lyrics of his song A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall were taken from the initial lines of songs that "he thought he would never have time to write." Dan Cisco’s book California Sports Astounding has a similar quality. Each chapter has so much interest and depth that a library of books could spring from its pages. Many stories inspire the imagination to go down fun rabbit holes of wonderment while you explore how the world of sports in California evolved.
