Honestly I think Lily-Rose acting was pretty good for such a young and inexperienced actor. However, this story has no proper storyline other than Thedro's abuse, most the time being creepy and cringey rather than compelling or entertaining, most situations so obviously laid out and it's easily predictable and how Lily-Rose's part, Jocelyn will just inevitably fall more and more in love with Thedro's, allowing him to control everything. It's truly just a soft rape/abuse porn that the new director decided to change the show to portray. Would have been interesting to see the first run-through. I also think that Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Jocelyn's singing coach Destiny's performance was strong and outshined, everybody, not only with her lines but with the way she spoke them, the pride.
