I have been a fan of horror movies for well ever since I can remember. I think I am a very good judge of what truly would be considered horror. And this movie falls way short. It’s hastily put together with several clichés and Nicolas Cage’s character is hard to figure out. There’s no depth to the character at all.The only thing scary is an occasional jolt. Sorry, but as always, Hollywood is hyping another sub-par horror movie. If you wanna really good, eerie classic horror movie that will give you the creeps, then I strongly suggest you watch The Haunting of Julia starring Mia Farrow from 1977.
