It’s very cute and sweet natured. But it’s set in 1957 and the title character says “you go girl.” As someone who grew up in the 1960s, I can tell you that phrase was not used until recently. So that kind of gave me a bad taste. If you can’t place your characters in the time period of the movie, don’t make the movie!
