I ended up turning the movie on to let the time passed as I worked with no real expectations. I found myself pausing frequently and finishing it after work because I was enjoying it and wanted to give it my attention. I've always appreciated Zac Efron's acting capabilities in all of his wide range of roles- his love of life and the earth as well. In this movie, he was very funny, as he was in his Down to Earth documentary. Nicole Kidman is just as great with her wide range skills, and truly, who has anything negative to say about Ms. BATES!! 🔥 As cheesy rom-coms go, this was fun, and who cares about the makeup-show me a movie where people aren't wearing any makeup whatsoever! For the people that trash Zac because of reconstructive surgery from a terrible accident, sorry you're missing out on such a genuine person.
If you want something fun, you'll like this. I truly appreciated the scene with the daughter struggling with something we all struggle with- feeling sorry for ourselves while people around us also struggle. Made me appreciate the movie a lot more.
