I LOVED this movie so much to the point where I have already re-watched it 4 times. I loved this movie because it really shows that the past can be the past if you let it & move on, if not the past has consequences you will face in the future. I also the topic of family & teamwork which is really important to me. A few of the characters reminded me of people that I know so it's always funny to think of that during the movie. I think this movie was the perfect sequel to the first movie & talking about Maverick & Rooster's relationship. My 2 favorite songs from the movie is "Great Balls of Fire" by Rooster & "Hold My Hand" by Lady Gaga

I was very hesitant to see this film because honestly newer animated movies just aren't my style of animated movies (the classics of my childhood Disney, Universal, Dream-Works, Paramount, etc. were it for me!). I really enjoyed the film & it was my sense of humor (darker trauma humor with a little bit of adult humor). There were a lot of moments that really showed what being the different out of our family or group of friends is like, that women can be in charge, despite our differences we can all get along, that love doesn't look the same to everyone, adventuring out on your own can be fun, & that family & friends are important at the end of the day. Why I didn't like the film was that there were a few moments that made me question who made it (the whole Peaches bowser song & his proposal made me fully cringe (one of the worst moments) & made my boyfriend promise to NEVER use that speech when proposing to me someday - yes he laughed & said he would use the whole speech & song).

This book is a bit darker than I expected from Disney & a bit darker than a book I would have read growing up, but it's always fun to push boundaries & try new things. Also with the book being a Disney series, it was on the top of my list! I loved the back story of Mother Gothel from Tangled & her story is both sad & painful which makes you really feel for her & understand what she did in Tangled to Rapunzel & Flynn. My 2 my favorite themes of the book are the important matter of family & discovering who you are.

This book is super good! Maleficent was so mistreated & was doubted so much because of who she truly was. I loved how much love Maleficent had in her heart for others & did try to become the best version of herself because she did have a few friends/mom/mentors who believed in her, but I hated how much she had to try to become someone different than who she was born to be. I don't believe in putting others down because of who they are (depending on the circumstances) & I believe that family isn't just those who you are blood related to. I cried a lot when it came to this book & I hated to see Maleficent's demise in the end (you all know how Sleeping Beauty ends) but I'm glad she is at peace with life now & no longer emotionally or mentally suffering while alive. All she wanted to do was protect her family, be herself, & wanted to be loved & supported. I will always highly recommend this book.

I was never a fan of Ursula growing up & she was always one of the villains that terrified me as a child (I even ran out of the Little Mermaid On Stage Production at Disney's Hollywood Studios as a child due to seeing Ursula). Everyone hates on Ursula because of how she tricked Ariel & King Triton, but reading this book though really changed my perspective on her. Ursula went through a lot growing up & that much trauma really can damage a person without support going into the future. I highly recommend giving this book a read! This book is super good! Ursula is always seen as the Villain in The Little Mermaid & she is a villain, but reading her backstory really made me re-see her a human with emotions & not a heartless soul of a sea witch. Ursula went through so much growing up having no family to love her for what she truly is, she lost her father, she did have the sister witches (mostly Circe who Ursula also tricked) as friends, & she did want Ariel (who is her niece) in her life, but with her insecurities, trauma, loss, wanting revenge, & heart break, she only cared about herself at the end of the day. ALSO READ THE DEDICATION FROM THE AUTHOR AT THE BEGINNING OF THE BOOK: THERE IS A FUN FACT THAT GOES BACK TO THE OTHER BOOKS!

This book is super good! I really never saw Prince Adam/The Beast as villain but as you read the book & learn about how he treated people before he got cursed by the enchantress & turned into the beast, it really does make sense. He needed to learn a lot about both life & himself before he was able to break the curse. A lot of people who care about him really wanted to see him fall in love & break the curse but it takes difficulty to change who you are. Beauty & the Beast was one of my top 5 Disney movies growing up so this book was great! Also this is not only the beast's backstory but it is also Gaston's backstory in how Gaston really became Gaston! Also please learn that words do hurt people so please watch how you speak to people & treat them. I was very confused when I saw that Prince Adam/The Beast was part of the villain series because I always thought of him as a good man. But I can also see that he goes from villain (after he is cursed by the enchantress) to prince (after he meets Belle) due to his backstory. This book was so good & taught a lot of life lessons plus the way it ended made me excited for book 3! I highly recommend giving this book a read!

This book is super sad honestly but it really does make me understand why the Evil Queen treated Snow White so badly & made me understand why she tried to kill her. Insecurities, Parental Death, Being a Single Parent, Death of a Significant Other (Husband), & Mental Illness (Anxiety & Depression) all mixed in one without help from anyone around you really can hurt someone. You also learn a really fun fact about the magic mirror from the Snow White movie which will really blow your mind! The story really made me feel for both Snow White & the Evil Queen. This series really makes you feel for both the Disney villains & the antagonists!

Hotel Transylvania is one of my absolute favorite Halloween movies but it's one of my favorite movies to watch throughout the year if I need a good laugh or cry. I love the relationship between Dracula & Mavis because it reminds me a lot of my dad & I. Every dad is terrified but excited to watch their children grow up & go off alone into the real world, but if you raise them right & prepare them like Dracula did that child will go so far in life. There are so many sweet family, father daughter, & romantic moments but also moments that will have you laughing so hard, your ribs will hurt & tears will run down your face. I highly recommend for a cute Halloween family movie night.

Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian

I loved this movie! Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian to me not only taught a lot of life history to viewers but also taught a lot of life lessons in the movie. For me, the life lessons were: 1. Never Forget Where You Come From: Larry started out as an everyday day working a simple job as a night guard as the local museum. Well, when his business blew up & he became rich & famous, he left his friends & job at the museum behind even getting a newer & fancier apartment than what he had. Throughout the movie he realizes what he did & goes back to those who mean the most to him & doing what truly makes him happy. 2. Friends & Family Over Money Any Day: To me, when Larry left when he became rich & famous had me upset. When you hear in the movie that he hadn't visit in a very long time, it broke my heart. I know he wanted to become an inventor & become more financially stable to keep his son Nicky in his life, but leaving behind friends & family? Wrong decision. I loved how even though he had left for a long time & didn't visit the museum, his friends still accepted him back to being a night guard. 3. History Is Important: I loved how throughout the movie, Larry & Amelia use history throughout their journey of stopping Kahmunrah. History always repeats its self & I loved the back & forth between modern day & the older days in the movie. I highly recommend this movie for a family night movie or even using it in the classroom for teachers!

I grew up loving Night at the Museum & watching it again as an adult (who has an interest in history, who is a child of divorce, & experienced relationships) made me fall back in love with this movie. I understand most of the character's point of views. For example, Nicky Daly: I grew up as a child of divorce & had a father who everyone looked down upon just because he wasn't very successful like they were. He is an amazing man to me & raised me to be who I wanted to be like Larry did for his son. I understand Erica (Nicky's Mom): Larry didn't have the best track record when it came to financial stability & she didn't want her son to constantly up & move around the state when Larry kept getting evicted. A child needs stability (mentally, physically, emotionally, & financially) in their life. This movie is chaotic, funny, teaches life lessons & history, & is a great family night type movie.
