This is such a great movie and what a tear jerker. A great story that combines the human elements of adversity, inadequacy, and sacrifice. 3 things that everyone can personally relate to. A child's love for their parent is infinite. And TJ demonstrates this to Billy without fail.
I recently watched this movie with my two boys, ages 11 and 15. And I was concerned that this may be too heavy for them and they would get too emotional. However, the roles were actually reversed. My oldest looked over at his old man tearing up and asked if I was okay. I remember watching with my old man as well and he too teared up. And, that was a rare sighting as that was the only time I saw him cry. He told me and my brothers that made him think of his father who died early of stomach cancer. As I am older, I now realize all the human elements that make this movie so real.
