I liked it, I think sometimes you have to think outside the box, if it was a cartoon becoming a movie then there should be stringent orders to keep the movie authentic however if you have room for experimentation with a franchise that’s been done over and over again, why not open a new thought.
I’m not a die hard star wars fan but I’m getting there, you talk about magic and the midichlorians, I thought that the sith actually became who they were because of the experimentation of magic and dark side abilities. I remember a book not sure which one but I’ll find out, saying that dark Jedi actually encountered a planet that was inhabited with witches or wizards, whatever you want to call them, and it was through them mingling that the sith became the sith.
So I liked the idea of how the story in the acolyte was going, because the sith can be seen like a counterfeit faith, obviously close but not close enough. I’m saddened that it ended so soon
