A compelling read . Whilst I realize that colonists from many countries performed the same brutal acts extensively throughout the world, I feel that this book opens my eyes to what actually happened here in Australia. It makes me understand why indigenous people hold a grudge against the way their forbears were massacred, disowned and generally treated with regards to their human rights on their traditional lands all over Australia. I would hope that many will read this book .
