There are many wonderful things about this movie, but the only thing I really hated was the writing that made it look like so many of the characters were untouchable or not susceptible to harm. I know it's a piece of fiction, but in practical, realistic terms, no one on the ship Adventure should have survived. Between the minor shipwreck to the several jungle treks, I was surprised when that evil POS Carl Denham said that only 17 men died from their "adventure".
The most ridiculous and unrealistic scene ( Yeah, I know. "Suspend reality" and all that. ) was the stampede/chase scene where over a dozen men were running down a narrow corridor full of OVER a dozen Brontosaurus type creatures who were also running from half a dozen velociraptor type predators and SOMEHOW very few of them seemed to get trampled or eaten. But before that, there were several scenes of Kong running with Ann and SHOULD HAVE been crushed in his hand SEVERAL times.
I could go on and on about the number of times and the numbers of creatures that should have killed the entire ships crew and passengers, but I won't. Overkill on the special effects, the number of death-defying creatures and small death toll. Incredibly UNREALISTIC if you believe in stupid little things like odds and science. The only other thing I hated in this movie was the Carl Denham character. He was pure evil and got all of those men killed including his own crew members and "friends" and even more in NYC. If I were NYC Police Commissioner, Denham would be in jail and on death row.
