Great visuals, and the first 3/4 are super realistic. However, at some point this movie takes a nose dive. It goes from realistic, high budget space movie to over-the-top, low budget, father son redemption movie. I mean, why focus so much on realistic details and special effects if you're going to have the main character tear off a piece of a spaceship and use it as a shield to float through a ring system and miraculously land on your ship? Whoever wrote this movie deserves to burn in hell, and Tommy Lee Jones should be ashamed of himself for this "performance".
