So, I’ve been pretty critical of Marvel recently for… let’s say putting the cart before the horse in terms of putting social messaging in their shows. And, while I actually agree with that social messaging, I think you have to build a well written and compelling show first, then put the social messages in. All that being said, I think this show is the bees knees! Strong, well written characters who actually do things of importance, a clear goal and path (road? Tee hee) to achieve that goal and commitment to following the logic of the world and characters. The hallmarks of good writing! I would’ve given it 5 stars but episode 5 kinda had some moments, no spoilers, where I feel characters acted… out of character for no good reason. Left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. But still, overall, I think one of the best Marvel shows so far.
