Good for the effects . Acting was ok. The emotional stories didn’t really work for me . And sorry , I normally like Diane Lane but that Mass accent was terrible. And then the scenes with Karen Allen in the small boat with the others just was out of place with the rest of the movie . Book is better . Sad and stupid that the captain played by Clooney led those guys into a hurricane. Anyone with any sense would have just gone to Portugal to ride out the storm . They could have sold the fish there . Just a needless tragedy .
