Surely it is a great book I am fortunate to have completed today itself. Reminces are so many that a part of myself has eloped in its characters. Amitav is superb, and specialises migration issues in the past & present. He makes the readers journey to distant lands giving glimpses of their physical & political geography, history & connects many characters together. It definitely has enriched me by at least byVenice contexts, and how refugees sneaking in distant lands having undergone many travails of journeys & risking their lives. Though initially seeming to be mysterious, believing in ghosts, in the later part it became more rational in approach. A very humanistic approach towards people’s plight.
