Generally I really enjoy the Today Show. Recently a friend told me that the show was applauding a teacher who took a second job to pay for supplies for his classroom. That is not something to be applauded! It is shameful that teachers have to supply their own materials, and ridiculous that they have to take on second jobs to do so. I funded my classroom for 23 years. No other profession has to do that! Please shame the education system for not providing needed materials, and give your sympathy to those who are paying their own money to have classroom supplies.
