Up to this point I've skipped all souls games. I tried one along time ago and found it too difficult. I decided to get Demons Souls after trying bloodbourne and after plugging away found it very enjoyable. I would recommend anyone new to this game to do a little research on classes and how best to spend souls. My first few times I died alot but with time you learn the map, enemies, their tendencies and you start to feel like you get why its so highly recommended. All the frustration and anger makes the feeling of success when you kill your first boss worth it and it really feels like an accomplishment.

Wow what a great game. You can see and feel the love and attention that was given to this game by Suckerpunch. The world they created is so immersive and beautiful you could spend hours just walking and taking screen shots. I found progressing through the quests and map very natural and nothing feels forced. The battles are challenging in a good way and as soon as you start to feel invincible there are little wrinkles added to level things out again. It allows for combat to stay engaging and any group or Mongolian can land a killing blow. Only thing that I wish was improved is the way lips move during dialog, although GOT is better then most at this but this is a complaint I have with most open world rpgs. Games like Witcher 3, and Horizon Zero Dawn both on top of list for favorite games have same issue to me. But this issue is never something that takes away from my love and enjoyment. I hope to see this franchise again and put this this game up with any of the greats.

Great reimagining of an absolute epic game. I wasn't sure how much I would like battle system as I love classic JRPG but it is pleasantly fun. Only negative is it being a partial game. The wait to get the part square made was so long it was a let down to hear how much of the original is in this remake. It feels like a repeat of FF13. I go back and forth on if it would have been better to have original game with better graphics like other remasters FF8 and FF9. But that doesn't take away from the quality they put into the game and at the end of the day that's the most important thing.
