Shawshank is one of those films I heard was a good film that I only watched for the first time within the last few years. It is one of the greatest films ever made. Sure there may be plot holes but the message the film conveys, how it helps its viewers to perhaps certain things in their life through the friendship Red and Andy have and the hope sentiment that resonates throughout the film, any holes, they don't matter in my opinion. My only regret is I didn't watch this sooner, similar to Saving Private Ryan that took me years and years to watch and again, one of the best films made. For anyone who hasn't seen this film, I implore you to watch it. It really and truly is one of the greatest films ever made that I personally cannot praise highly enough for both the acting, cinematography and story. Films really don't get any better than this.
