I'm addicted. Last year when the lockdown happened and our students were virtual I could not get the clay to go through those tiny little wires. I began to post video assignments with study sheets. I discovered The Great Pottery Throw Down and found episodes that were similar to assignments my students were familiar with. They had to identify the elements emphasized by the judges, problems the contestants had that were similar to issues they had encountered, identify at least one piece of new information that they could use, and choose their favorite potter and give 3 reasons for their choice.
It was beneficial for them to see real potters struggling, failing, and problem solving.
