It exceeded my expectations. I basically went for some popcorn, cola, and a cheesy movie with my wife. I got that... but also great action. The ending sequence was great, a lot of twists and fun. All the caveats of this movie are inherited from the original Top Gun, so if you liked it theyre probably not caveats for you: The desperate military wife type that hangs onto every face expression of the protagonist (Tom Cruise), the fake comradeship/teasing between the pilots, etc.
