Already one of the best war movies ever in my opinion. Gripping, realistic, touching and very human. Really hits home the horror and waste of war. All those poor men on both sides and the civilians. Utter waste of life. So tragic for every one of them and that is this movie's real quality. It shows the individuals behind the great war.....they all had a life....a family waiting for them. Millions never came home.
