Fantastic production, you can definitely tell a lot of time, money, and effort went into the costumes and the sets. Fiona was the star of the show in my opinion. Sutton Foster absolutely nailed Fiona, her facial expressions were on point. Not only does Fiona look exactly like Fiona, so does Lord Far-quad. Fantastic job finding people that look so much like the characters. Shrek’s voice was really the only let down, he didn’t quite have his accent down. I absolutely loved how they kept, and even enhanced, the portrayal of being proud of being different as Shrek is so beautifully known for. The message was clear; it’s okay to be different, you’re not the one who needs to change, the world needs to change and you should be PROUD of who you are and who you love. Such an amazing message it speaks volumes to so many people who feel “different”. The people who say the singing was terrible have never heard someone sing live without auto-tune. Absolutely fantastic singing, never off key.
