Sappy, contrived, fragmented. You expect Hollywood to embellish the story a little bit, but adding the two little kids on bikes running to the airport, a love story with a drunken future air traffic controller, a daughter with a peanut allergy who almost dies, the King Air pilot who builds a makeshift cockpit in his garage to help talk the plane down, and the best and this is the best part...hiring black actors to play white people...and then showing them side by side in a ridiculously long "where are they now" piece during credits. I kept waiting for someone in the control tower to say, "looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue"...and then jump through the tower window. AND just has I had that thought, the drunken controller dude decides to SPRINT to the runway to tell the fire trucks they've gone to far. I was laughing out loud at that point. Doug and his family deserved a better movie.
