i love this movie. it teaches us that our life is as boring as Paterson's. That his life is just uneventful as ours and he is happier than we are. and a simple reason for this is that he has a goal he wants to be a poet and he still works on it. and no matter how great or unreachable this goal is, he still always works on it and that's why he is always happy. As Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi tells in his book "flow" that if we choose a goal which is very difficult for ourselves. and if we start to work for reaching this goal little by little. we focus all our concentration on it then we can experience this flow which is happiness itself. and after the accident that happens. but what he finds out by the help of this Japanese Writer is that not success or the reaching of our goal is what's important. the road towards our goal is what makes us happy. and it teaches that no matter what happens you can still find a blank page that you can start to write to again. Looking in Paterson's life for 2 hours happiness seems easy. and this film really proves us that it really is this easy. i love reviewing films that is my goal
