I won’t lie, I didn’t watch any trailers nor did I look up any reviews before starting the movie, and boy was that a mistake. For the first time in my life I wanted to walk out, and I only hadn’t because I was with two other people, who both thought the movie was horrible. The acting was fine, or even better than that. The scenes looked good too, no complaints there. But the script was unbelievably bad, impressively so. The first movie made really good uncomfortable moments, whether it was because the mood was strange or what not, but more often than not that had not been the case here. Some of the best parts of the first movie was that you didn’t know when he was imagining things, but everytime that happened in this movie it was obvious. Besides this they also decided to make it more of a musical than anything else, with probably eight three minute shots of singing and dancing, these way overstayed their welcome. Honestly speaking this should have only been a 30 minute film, and they stretched it out for 2 hours. I understand Marvel and DC think that’s the minimum time required now, but only if the movie isn’t horrible.
