I have always considered myself a fan of Blue Bloods until I discovered they have totally eliminated any credit to the mother of the family. (Please forgive my use of the character names in this, but I find it easier to keep my train of thought by using the names I'm more accustomed to hearing!)
I watched a rerun tonight where the son of Danny and Linda, Sean, was in a bicycle accident and he ended up in the hospital with his brain swollen and unconscious. One scene showed Frank at the grave of his wife and son, ? and Joe, but there wasn't any specific mention of his thoughts/prayers. Fine. Later however, it seems that Joe was credited for helping to save Sean due to Danny's prayers to him for help.
I find it very unrealistic that Sean's grandmother, Danny's mother and Frank's wife was totally considered unimportant to anyone during this whole scenario. Don't you think someone would have thought to ask this very important person in a family to help save one of her own grandchildren? There has been very little reference to the mother character and, being a mother and grandmother myself, I'm now reconsidering my feelings toward this show...
