Despite the common misconceptions about this movie, me and my two younger children had an absolute ball. The film manages to incorporate both lighthearted and funny moments with more solemn and educational topics.
Though some of the reviews say that it's best for children 3-4, I think the best age range would be from 5-7, as children truly do need to emotional intelligence to process it, as the movie is mainly quite educational.
I must say in the days after viewing this film my children have shown an amazing increase in their behavior, along with their understandings of social skills and social integrity.
This movie not only taught them *how* adults act the way they do in certain social situations that children may not understand, but also *why.*
I believe that this movie is best enjoyed when the prologue is skipped, as it is merely a disclaimer that it *is* in fact a film meant for teaching, along with going over explanations from grade school teachers as to how it's helped their students, and how multiple educators across several provinces have been a help in making it.
Skipping to about 30 minutes in is where the actual educational bit of the movie starts, so both me and my husband would recommend that.
I write this review with an utmost sincerity, that EVERY parent needs to show their little one's this film. Thank you!
