Thank you for helping me cure my insomnia. I kept waiting, and waiting, and WAITING for this story to go somewhere, but like some stupid slow burn arthouse cryptic meaning movie......it didnt. So many questions without answers......why was Ava so scared about her hometown homies? (suddenly they get introduced and she seems really scared of them but we don't really know why) Why did her stupid boyfriend ditch her so quickly at the beginning to take photos when he appeared to care? What was this pandemic even about? Why was there so many closeups of Ava doing stupid things? Why did the boyfriends brother appear to hate her at first but warm up quickly soon after? So she kills her dad but does she live or die?? And then to top it all off, stupid boyfriend limps back into the scene like some annoying zombie? ....Why? Why? Why? As I continued to ask these questions in my mind I wore myself out into a deep sleep, where I dreamt of a more interesting story. PS. If this genre is sci-fi/thriller, please tell me where the "thrill" was......

Just wondering if the director needs antidepressants?............ it was: Long. .........and......... Slow........with HEAPS of emotive moments but no real connection from moment to moment..... and no real plot. Spoilers......Guy survives solar flare, creates robot Jeff, has a dog. Goes for a long drive to San Fransisco to escape bad storm.... for some reason its safe there?. Also escapes car at night that is a real threat apparently. Later, Finch is suddenly is able to walk in sun and not be fried, and we see other life: a butterfly and some plants. Finch bonds with Jeff, and the dog eventually does too. Then Finch dies. Jeff takes the dog to the Golden Gate. Why? I want to scratch my fingers down a chalkboard now.
