Wes Anderson has reached the point of no return w/"Asteroid City". What started w/"The Royal Tennnenbaums" has now become tedious and boring. It would have been different if that film had been a one-off w/him subsequently returning to his own quirky version of the more traditional dramatic form as he first did in "Rushmore". The set design is the only star now instead of actors, character development or plot. Good actors like Edward Norton and Tom Hanks want to work w/him never knowing what the final product will look like. They trust that he will do something amazing. The same is true of Woody Allen, although he had a much longer, prolific career before reaching his ultimate decline. Boy, do we miss Bill Murray here. He might not have been able to save it, but it would have been a lot more interesting to watch w/him in it.
