Despite the vitriol, there are moments in this show that are quite hilarious. Yes, it is incredibly sexist, offensive, racist, and repulsive. But, beneath all that, there is a redeeming factor: incredibly memorable and unique characters. If you watch the storyboards, you'll be able to see the underlying sweetness of the show, which is a bit marred by the animation. Chita, Tito Dick, the guy who's high all the time, Angel, even Cherry Pie have good writing at times that manage to turn them into three-dimensional characters. The goal was to create a highly offensive show that makes the Filipino community feel represented, and they succeeded. The fact that we're still talking about this show a decade later shows that it is genuinely entertaining to watch, despite its flaws.
