This film got me into films, and has always been in my top 10 for sure! And what I mean by got me into films is honestly before Boogie Nights, of course Id watch a movie for entertainment. But this film really introduced me to the "ART" of film making and the study of films more so as a hobby then just watching something to be entertained when bored. This film was just so excellently made. The drama, fall from grace story, world class acting, and captivating period piece was as good as it gets. Mark Wahlberg and Burt Reynolds's were just perfect for their roles. Julianne Moore and John C. Riley just kill it as well. You feel like you just stepped out of a time machine to the late 70s and early 80s.
