Can't see the chemistry between the two leads at all, rather the other princess and her guard had better chemistry and felt less awkward. Manga scenes were injected at the climax of each scene and really deflated it not ruined the mood. Most memorable character was probably the little kid who first followed diliraba and called her master/teacher. Only thing going for it is probably the character development, although a bit forced/fast at times.
