Quite possibly my favorite movie of all time. I think it is about humans questioning why we exist and if there is an afterlife or not.
When we believe there is no afterlife then we fear death on a whole other level. If we believe in an afterlife we can accept our demise as beginning our climb on the ladder to eternal life.
A great movie that has stuck with me for almost 30 years now.
