Some of the acting can be better but I love how the show humanizes its characters. It shows how people can become victims of their circumstances. It’s community, it’s comedy, it’s love and drama. I love The Chi.

Gripping, emotional drama. You can’t help but feel for everyone in this story.

I was excited about this show because other shows (Safe, The Stranger, The Five) from Harlan Coben we’re great. This, however, is not. I’m on episode four and I’m still not loving it. There’s WAY TOO MUCH going on and storylines that are completely unbelievable. I still don’t understand the purpose of the Barbie and Ken characters. Overall, the show is trying too hard to be thrilling and mysterious.

I’m going to give this show a three, more like 2.5. If it was just a show on its own, not linked to Power, I wouldn’t expect so much from it. Power was so good that I think the writers and network want to keep it going so they created Book II and now III, but neither of these shows is comparable to the original. The chemistry between the characters in Power was amazing! Ghost and Angela’s story could have stood on its own. This and Book II are just like every other show about drug dealing — people getting killed over corners and back stabbing each other. The 1990s styling is absolutely on-point though!

The first episode didn’t draw me in. I didn’t think the characters were being developed well and it was kind of boring but I kept watching. I was pleasantly surprised that it got better, much better after episode one. Blood and Water is better than most teen dramas. Hi
