The only thing that wasn’t good is that the Series wasn’t true to the Novel ! With the lack of freedom of the political regime in China, it was considered, even by the lgbtq population, a miracle that the Series was approved by the Census ! To understand the Series you really should read the Novel. The Novel has explicit sexual scenes that could never be approved for a Movie or Series. And the author, Ms. MoXiang TongXiu is, as Mom Nature, very not appologetical…I mean, she didn’t warn about these scenes. So if you want to read the Novel, accept it whole, as it is ! The story is very good and the characters are very real, though certain facts belong to the world of Fantasy. Accepting the Fantasy is essential to enjoy the story and all the characters. With the time, they will certainly become as humans beings of blood and flesh as you are! So enjoy the Show.
