I fail to understand how the Judges keep saying that the singers in the current Idol season are the best and better than the rest. This is like the London tradesman selling his products.
No doubt , each season brings out a new genre of singers and what is lacking is the versatility . Take the season 10 - Ankush Bharadwaj, you feel like listening to him for his tonal quality and rendering each song with heart. That is essentially lacking today. Shouting and over action has become the order of the day. Humility is lacking . I have Tatasky Idol recordings of various episodes and I feel like listening to the earlier season performers.
Let me categorically point out that with the current season , the deterioration of the Idol package has already started. If the organisers fail to make note and do amendments , I am afraid the show will loose its glamour. You are going overboard on everything , more so , on the elimination front. You have to boil it down and down to get the best out of the competitors .
Bring the curtains down quickly before viewers do it on their own. I am sure , there are many like me waiting to share their views on the deteriorating trend.
Participant’s families, their background and the antics of some has become a very important part of the show. Even your celebrity guests of the show are overacting, may be under instructions. They have to maintain their respect and decency. Too much of appreciation is not desirable. Look at Pawandeep’s face when judges/ guests keep pouring exalted praises on him , even he seems to be fed up. He appears like a stoic. Don’t push it so hard. Everything is enjoyable in limits .
This is without any prejudice to anybody.
