It's a slow starter but once it gets going it's really damn good. One of the best of the post generation. I will say though the stealth cover kill mechanic is OP. I've cleared entire boss hideouts without firing a shot. You would assume all the whistling would be a clear sign someone is luring you to your doom.
There is a lot of coarse source material, as befitting the time, you will hear the N word profusely. It's meant to be offensive. It was an offensive period of time, segregation, whites only, lynchings, white women clutching purses. The game does a good job of pulling back the curtain of censure and showing our ugly past, especially in the deep south. They cleverly mix in factual history with the fictional story. The only reason I'm deducting a star is the lighting issues, and that may be from running it on the PS5.
