The movie portrays the victims as broken people, and they are for the most part broken and human. Very few ever get past the horror and damage that was done. Addiction, suicides, broken homes even well to do families.... The group at spotlight portrayed by some of the best actors and actresses along with supporting people convey the the damage and even the missed chances that people are people.. No one is perfect. The sheer magnitude of the SNAFU is horrifying and drives the point home This is a movie that will follow you around...it stupefying and makes you look at how the church did nothing to stop it. It's still happening today...
