A movie so flaccid not even viagra could revive it.
If I could give this abomination 0 stars I would. One phrase sums this movie up perfectly - style over substance. Channeling the essence of Hollywood's vacuousness than any true spirt, this film failed to impress on any level.
Good actors, poorly cast for a bad script. Dan Stevens as Charles Condomine left me as cold and dead as his first wife Elvira. Playing a weak and ineffectual man, who can neither deliver in his job or in the bedroom, the only times he's capable of getting anything done is with help from one of his wives - it makes me wonder how he managed to bag himself two of them.
The three main female characters played by Isla Fisher, Leslie Mann and Judy Dench were like charicatures of womanhood. The innocent young ingenue, the angry temptress and the batty old crone. Such stock characters might work well in fairytales but this was so poorly done that happily ever after came only once they were all dead.
A film that should never have been resurrected when the original is alive and kicking and far more entertaining.
