Extremely tiring watch - only if you have ABSOLUTELY nothing else to do!
At the outset, let me just say frankly that advertising works wonders in today's day and age. As is the case with so many other examples, the hype built for this movie has just blinded everyone singing praises for this film - but to each, his/her own I guess!
To start with, the film tries heavily to rely on an age-old story (boy likes girl who is in love with another boy who is non-committal and then guess what happens in the end?). So if you haven't already guessed the ending, please read the movie title again.
As if the performances weren't just meagre at best, the makers have tried to infuse generous doses of what I like to call 'northy' humor (mostly north indian stereotypes with all the works such as dialogues, abuses, and mannerisms) and this is the only saving grace of the film to a certain extent.
In the cast, the parents i.e. father of the boy and mother of the girl are perhaps the only decent acts with the others trying too hard to fit in. Vikrant tried to put in an earnest performance but he can do only so much with the stale dialogues he has been given.
Knowing that the music is going to be a major fail, the new (old?) formula of remixing songs with the rap squad (Mika and Badshah) is yet another failed attempt at keeping viewers excited. I'd give the music just a 1 out of 5.
All in all, a very tiring watch even for a film just a little over 2 hours. You'll be better off opting for repeat viewings of Yami's other greats (Bala, Kaabil) or even the recent runaway hit, Lootcase.
