The gameplay itself is fine -- and by fine I mean just okay. It's one of your standard AAA games, nothing too "breathtaking" about the gameplay design or anything. I was playing GTA V for the past few weeks, and Cyberpunk 2077 certainly reminds me of that game, and Fallout games, a lot. Quite similar in ways, but just different in settings.
I honestly wasn't expecting too much in terms of gameplay, so I can't say that I'm mad at what they served me.
HOWEVER, I did run into 3 different bugs/glitches that forced me to reload from a previous save just in one day. Annnnnd I had to reload the "braindance" chapter, including the introduction part since my character was frozen. Had quite a few random T poses and flying cars, let alone my beloved floating cellphones and other disappearing items.
It does feel like the game is rushed and clearly unfinished in many ways. Or at least, it's unpolished. I think there are a lot of "buts" in this game. It's almost like for every eye-catching feature, there's a huge "but" following it. You can "customize" your private parts -- BUT it doesn't actually matter since you won't be able to see it in your regular gameplay, plus none of the NPCs, including the major ones, will have any sort of reactions to your naked body. And this is not the only "but," believe me, there are A LOT.
I purchased the game directly from GOG, because I want to support the devs and so. I was excited, but then not so much anymore. Do I regret buying the game? Umm, I guess no? Do I regret buying the game THIS early? Yes. After all, it's a somewhat solid game, BUT it needs a lot of patching and updating.
