This book is specifically intended for the students of high school and the language and terminology used for this purpose is very well suited to the students of this age group. The book is well equipped with the examples from history and along with the references of world’s famous and renowned Palaeontologists, the ones who specialized in investigating and solving clues of pre historic life. The Prehistoric earth, the title of the book is actually a series of 10 volumes in which early explosion of life in oceans, the invasion of land by first land animal, rise of fishes, amphibians, reptiles, mammals, and birds and emergence of modern human are discussed with great detail yet relatively simple for the targeted audience. This book is a step by step guide for the students of high school and also for higher levels of education. This book has simplicity in it along with a lot of scientific research mentioning the works of some of the great minds who made great contributions in knowing and exploring the spectacular debate of Evolution. The order in which this book describes the Evolution phenomena is very much catchy. It must be added here that this book has both the qualities of being simple yet very much detailed in explaining the readers about the Primates and Human Ancestors of Pliocene Epoch. This book has used a variety of techniques in explaining concepts and ideas such as tables and pictures and chats as well. The language used throughout this book is used keeping in mind the targeted audience. For me the use of language and terminology plays a very important role in the acceptance or rejection of the book. I would very much like to recommend this book for the students as well as others who have some interest in knowing who we are and how we have travelled the long and somewhat mysterious journey of Evolution.
